THE FIELD AND EQUIPMENT

Baseball is played on a arena, which usually covers about pair acres. The arena is divided into an infield and an outfield. These pair parts are considered fair territory and the rest of the arena is considered foul. The infield is in the shape of a diamond and is 90 ft on each side. One point of the diamond is abode plate which batters strike from. The other three points are bases: early, other, and mediant found. In the mean of the diamond is a pitchers mound which is slightly raised away the soil. The edges of the diamond from abode plate to early found and abode plate to mediant found are the foul lines, which extend all the road to the wall in the outfield. after early found is justice arena, after other found is called center arena, and after mediant found is called left arena. Fences are placed at the farthest limits in the outfield. In foul territory beyond the foul lines in the infield are dugouts whither players perch when they are not playing or waiting to bat.

Baseball also consists of manifold pieces of equipment. Baseball equipment includes the following: a hard sphere which has a cork center and has a circumference of 9 in., a bat artificial out of wood or aluminum, a padded leather glove which each player uses to catch the sphere, cleated shoes, and a helmet worn by batters. There are sure rules that limit the size, mass, and shape of sure equipment.
